How to decorate the house with little money

Decorating rooms doesn't need to cost that much. If we can't change the furniture, we can add small adjustments, like new courtins, paintings, decoration, changing the location of the same, and all of this will give the room a new image.

We just have to use our imagination, some things that we have in the house, buy some other things and the possibilities could be endless.

Here are some ideas to which you can add some personal touch.

-Blades or little paintings with a country style look really good in the kitchen or the daily dinner, we can get some for a few bucks and put a base or a nice wooden frame in them.

- In the living room, a couple of new cushions enhance the old upholstery of the armchairs, you just need to buy the fabric that you choose, arm the cushions and fill them up, you don't need to be an expert to cut two squares and overlap them. If you don't feel like sewing them, try with glue for fabric.

- If you have wooden chairs and they are stained and worn for the use, we can renew them without the need to buy new ones, just get some cushions to put on top, that are already made, from different sizes and with strips to tie them in the back.

- You can give a new face to your kitchen furniture just by changing the handles of them. You will find a lot of models in special stores, made with different materials and colors; you just have to pick the one that best fits your kitchen and the one that adapts best to your budget.

- In the living room walls, one of the simple and classy options is to put plaster moldings that you can paint with the same color of the wall or other color that contrast them and match, or simply leave them white.

Other idea for using these moldings is to place them in the middle of the wall and put a wallpaper that goes with the decoration below them. In this case, we put the wallpaper and then we place the molding where the wallpaper ends, to give a neat look.

-You can renew your flowerpots or decorate them with some technique. They will look new.

- In the bathroom, put some potpourri in some cute mug or some transparent container, over the bathroom cabinet or in the same place that stands out.

-You can put shelves in the kitchen and in the bathroom, without the need of buying new furniture. There are shelves that are already made; we can even play with the different sizes, colors and non symmetrical locations.
